Thanks to the addition of designated bike lanes, there are more cyclists on the road in Cheyenne than ever! Now is a great time to brush up on your knowledge of how to stay safe as a rider, as well as how to be a cautious, bike-aware driver.

TIPS FOR DRIVERS

Rule of 3

Give riders 3 feet of space when passing.

EYE-TO-EYE

Make eye contact with nearby riders before passing, so they know for sure you see them.

DOUBLE TAKE

Look for nearby riders before turning/passing…then look again.

DON’T HIT

Hitting’s not nice. Don’t hit the bikes.

Share the road. There’s room for everyone!

Wear bright colors and reflective stripes… make it easy for cars to see you!
